For partners

We build AI courses. You bring your people.

Cyberiad Labs teaches people to work with AI without handing it their thinking. Those skills help people keep a job or find one, and keep organisations relevant.

We teach learners directly, and we work with schools, universities, companies and NGOs.

Our own numbers

Class 1, September 2026

  • 1,005 learners
  • 51 countries
  • 4.8/5 rated by our learners

What I liked most was the simplicity in the language. I find it hard to understand most AI courses because the wording is so complicated but today after a long time, I have finally understood tool calling.

Nafula, Uganda

I've been using AI, but I didn't know I had access to local AI that I can use at no cost. It's exciting to be able to ask questions without access to the internet.

Kariũki, Kenya

Three ways to work with us

Pick the one that fits

  1. 1License a courseOur course, on your calendar.Ready now · you teach
  2. 2Commission a courseWe build it for your people or your clients.Built for you · you teach
  3. 3Send learners to our classesFree places for non-profits and foundations.Free places · we teach

A licensed or commissioned course can carry your brand instead of ours: your name on the sessions, the quizzes and the certificates.

Option one

License a course

Who teaches: your team

For now there is one course to license, Introduction to AI and LLMs, and more are coming. Your own team runs it, on your calendar, under your brand or ours. The licence covers the sessions, the quizzes, the updates and support.

Introduction to AI and LLMs, as we run it

Length
Four weeks, 16 sessions (four a week), about 30 hours.
Checks
A short quiz with every session, and a 25-question exam at the end of each week. Learners earn a certificate.
Devices
Written for phones first. Learners use a phone or a computer, with free tools only: no paid accounts.
Local AI
Every learner installs a free AI model on their own device. If a learner's device cannot run it, they do that part with a classmate whose device can, so nobody has to buy a new phone.
Tested
Every exercise is run by a person before a learner sees it.

You can adapt it and run it the way you like.

Ask Julien about a licence

Option two

Commission a course for your people or your clients

Who teaches: your team

We sit with you, listen to what you need, and build a course that makes sense for your people, whatever their age. We test it end to end before anyone teaches it, and it does what we agreed.

If you train other organisations, we can work with you on courses for your clients too.

Our courses are made of building blocks: every session stands alone, with its own quiz, so we can move sessions around and package them into the course you need, whether that is a day, a week or a month.

Ask Julien about a commissioned course

Option three

Send your learners to our classes

Who teaches: we do

Our public classes are free for learners, but places are limited. If your organisation is a non-profit or a foundation and does not charge its learners, you can become an education partner: you get a set number of free places for your learners in selected classes. We agree that number with you, and you pay for any places beyond it. A company, or an organisation that charges its learners, pays for its places.

The Mandela AI Hub Foundation works with us this way: up to 250 free places in selected classes.

Ask Julien about becoming an education partner

Reporting

Your own dashboard, live

You get your own dashboard, and it updates as your learners work. Per class and overall, you see:

  • how many of your learners started
  • who is active, and who is behind
  • how many passed each week's exam
  • which countries your learners are in

You see a learner's name only if they have agreed to share their record with you; we count everyone else and never list them. If you need it, we can host the database in your country.

Who we are

Meet the founders

The team
  1. Julien Barbier

    Julien Barbier

    Co-founder.

Julien co-founded Holberton School, a software engineering school with no teachers, no lectures and no upfront tuition. It grew from one campus in San Francisco to 32 worldwide before it was acquired.

He then led product and growth at ALX across its software engineering and applied AI programmes, where the number of learners went from a few thousand to more than 1.6 million. Before Holberton, he was the first head of marketing, growth and community at Docker.

  2. Youssef Charif Hamidi

    Youssef Charif Hamidi

    Co-founder.

Youssef is a full-stack engineer. He learned to code on Julien's 12-month ALX software engineering programme. He finished it on an Android tablet, because cerebral palsy limits him to about two words a minute on a computer keyboard.

He also built MathVellum, a maths editor for people who cannot hold a pen.

Our founders' reach

Learners in more than 140 countries

Our founders' programmes have reached learners in every coloured country, online or in person. Today that is through Cyberiad Labs and its partners. Earlier, it was through Holberton School and its partners, and through the ALX software engineering and applied AI programmes that Julien created.
